A few things to know

Good questions.

The practical details,
before the next shoot.

01Does Enkore upload my footage?

No. There is no account and no cloud step: listening, mapping and cutting all happen on your own computer. Enkore opens your camera files to read them and never writes to them.

02Does Enkore make proxies automatically?

Yes. Enkore prepares lightweight proxies in the background so multicamera footage stays responsive while you edit. They remain on your computer and can be cleared at any time. For camera RAW or another format Enkore cannot decode itself, you can link a compatible proxy made elsewhere. Delivery always points back to the untouched camera originals, ready for grading.

03Which editing software does it work with?

Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. It writes XML they import: the set and its drops as sequences, in any frame, with the mix rendered to WAV. For Premiere Pro it can also write one XML with the multicam master, the cut and vertical versions of it. Every shot points at your original footage.

04Do my cameras need timecode?

No. Sync works from the sound each camera recorded. Where a camera did write timecode, Enkore uses it as extra evidence, to place takes the sound alone could not, and to measure how far that camera stood from the PA.

05Can I mix cameras and frame rates?

Yes. Cinema cameras, action cameras, phones and audio recorders sit in one project. Each camera keeps its own frame rate, and the exported edit still lands frame-exact.

06Which formats work on Mac and on Windows?

Tested means checked with real camera footage.

07What happens when the tempo changes?

Enkore keeps up with slow drifts and with jumps between records. If a new track comes in off the count, one click sets bar one in the right place, and that correction is kept every time you analyse again.

08How much of the automatic cut can I change?

Every shot. Redraw one stretch with new settings, drag a cut onto another beat, split, join or lock shots, or switch cameras live while the set plays. Undo takes any of it back.

09Does it run on Mac and PC?

Yes. Enkore is built for Windows and macOS.
